Last Thursday, Reba aka the QUEEN announced the nominees for the ACM awards. Here are my quick takes!

Female Vocalist: I’m glad to see that both Maren Morris & Kelsea Ballerini got a nod. With Ballerini’s new album this year, I hope the ACM goes her way.

Male Vocalist: My man Luke didn’t get the nod this year, but my other man Chris Young got one! Excited for him to get some of that long-awaited well-deserved recognition.

Vocal Duo: I’m obsessed with “Tequila” from Dan + Shay so for that reason alone I hope they pull this one out.

New Male Vocalist: I would not want to pick this category. Kane Brown, Luke Combs, & Brett Young (who will probably win) have all had incredible years.

Video of the Year: I had already watched Dierks Bentley’s “Black” video & Brothers Osborne’s “It Ain’t My Fault” video, so I went and watched the other three. Lambert’s is ok, and I loved Thomas Rhett’s video, but MAN Kelsea Ballerini’s video made me cry and I was not expecting that. “Legends” gets my vote!

The 53rd annual ceremony will take place April 15!
