Relay for Life of Shawnee County Takes Place Virtually May 17-21

Relay looks different this year, but the American Cancer Society is planning a fantastic week of events for you to join May 17-21.  Daily content will stream on relay.org/topekaks and on the Relay for Life Facebook page @RFLShawneeCoKS.

  • Mission Monday: ACS services, progress made in the fight against cancer
    • Opening Ceremony Watch Party – 6:30pm, Washburn Yager Stadium (Ceremony will stream online as well)
    • Survivor Drive-Through – 4-6pm, Washburn parking lot (TBD)
  • Team Tuesday: Team pictures, interviews, contests, etc. (streams online)
  • Why I Relay Wednesday: Video contest, asking for donations as votes and shares/likes on FB (streams online)
    • Silent auction begins (CLICK HERE to view the silent auction) and will run through Friday, May 28
  • Thankful for Heroes Thursday: Survivor and Caregiver pictures and videos (streams online)
  • Finale Friday: Luminaria and Closing Ceremony (streams online)
    • Luminaria Walking Trail – 4-9pm on Washburn Campus

Register as a Survivor via http://bit.ly/RFLSurvivor by April 26 to guarantee your shirt is available for pickup in time for Relay. Registered survivors receive a free purple shirt and free caregiver shirt. Survivor shirts are generously sponsored by the Firefighters Local 83 Foundation. Shirt pick-up details will be emailed to registered survivors in early May.
