Reel Fun For Free This Weekend In Kansas

This is the perfect weekend to hum the song, “Fishin’ In The Dark” . If you have not gone fishing in awhile, this weekend (6/2-6/3/2018)  you do not need a license. Once a year the Kansas Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Department opens up the banks of public lakes, rivers and streams to those that want to have a go at it.

Just remember, although you don’t need a license, you do have to follow all other regulations. For instance, equipment and bait requirements, length and creel limits do apply. If you have any questions, check out and click on “Fishing”. It will answer most, if not all, of the questions you may have.

Get out there, maybe the one that got away won’t be so lucky this time!
