Roy Clark will always be remembered as a great ambassador and representative of country music. He was recognized multiple times with ACM and CMA awards. Roy earned the ACM Entertainer of the Year award (1972 and 1973) and CMA Entertainer of the Year award in 1973. Fans loved him and his peers respected him. His mastery of the guitar and banjo has influenced many. Keith Urban recently said the first time he heard a country artist “shred” on the guitar was while watching Roy Clark. Fans of Hee Haw will always remember how much fan that television show was!

About 11 years ago, Roy visited with the Walker Daniels show to promote an upcoming performance in NE KS. It truly was an honor to speak with him. Here he is speaking with Rusty Walker and Jim Daniels…

Roy Clark passed away November 15, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Barbara, along with four children and several grandchildren.
